No clue 😂 her daughter came home in the middle of the night with this little mystery chick. I love our EE girls we have. Makes me nervous if this is one though cause I know most of the time random splotches of color leads to a cockrel on them and it has a couple black feathers on the one wing...
My coworker's daughter surprised her last week by showing up with a chick. I've taken it in since she asked since we have some already. Any guesses as to breed? And if it obvious look wise gender but I'm guessing it will be a waiting game on that if will stay here or have to have her find...
I'm doing really bad at updating here but Inkspot so far
Going to have some of that lacing going on and I can't wait to see how she feathers out as an adult with all those grays and her darker head/ neck.
So we have 4 EE girls, a pretty little gold sebright hen and a little punk of a sebright roo who does his job well and hates that the big girls like me more than they like him 😂 long story short, noticed a couple of our big eggs looked fertile when using them so we popped some into an incubator...
I love bantams. They're in with 3 sebrights and never really noticed how tiny bantams really are until compared to full sized chickens!
They look a little bit like Peanut.
3 of our 4 EE decided to stop being free loaders and start laying today (they hatched on 2/12 so about time 😂) now if only they all laid at least different shades so I could figure out who did what but two had to lay basically the same mint green.
Nugget, Dumpling, Waffle (the one I'm pretty...
5 and 1/2 weeks old
Dumpling is still the loud one and talks almost non stop
Nugget still a big floof of a chicken ball
Waffle still is the only one to have her cheeks fully in
Peanut the trouble maker and eye poker
And just a cute picture of Waffles cheeks because she is good at...
Exact news I like to hear! I was thinking so as well, but always good to hear other opinions on it. Especially since I love them all and would hate to have to rehome one. Now they just have to continue all looking like pullets 😂
Turned a month old on last Wednesday! Getting a nice bigger area to run around in the next few weeks until they can be moved to their coop (when we get their run area all set)
Waffle is the first one to get her cheek poof fathers growing in and it is making her even more adorable. (Her...
3 weeks old today. Tried scrambled eggs last night and they went nuts! You'd think having a plate of them so everyone could get some wouldn't cause chases and fights but I'm not a chicken 😂
Dumpling (still loud and independent but loves attention more now)
Peanut (has a shorter tail than the...
At just 2 days shy of being 2 weeks, we're getting close to looking like miniature chickens. There's feathers sprouting everywhere.
Waffle who is getting quite the pretty white and tan pattern going on and is the sweetest of the bunch (they're all super sweet though and love their cuddles)...
Everyone is feathering up nicely and have little tails coming in and are starting to run around flapping those little wings. I love them as fluffy babies, but man do I wish they were also at the stage I'd know for sure I did get all girls 😂
Waffle, who still doesn't have the finesse of...
