    Stray(?) Cat

So a few days ago a cat was sitting on the porch, which isn’t odd because animals are dropped off all the time. He was clearly once a house cat because he had good looking fur and was extremely friendly with people and dogs. I figured he could stay around and then I started noticing his...

    Injured Chick

The coop they're in is big enough for 6 plus a run that two to two and a half sizes of the coop with lots to do. So they aren't getting bored either. At the moment in that coop is the 'chick' and the mama and 2 other grown chickens

    Injured Chick

I have a chick that has an injury on her wing and kind of on her back that wasn't there yesterday. I just now noticed it. It could've been one of the bigger chickens but it would've had to happen last night when they were going up for the night. Any advice?

    Choked to Death?

I'm not sure how old she was. I got her from a friend and we'd had her for a little over 6 months. She was a dark brahma. And she didn't feel thin, she felt healthy-- but obviously wasn't. Her body had kind of flattened because she was laying for so long before I found her.

    Choked to Death?

I went out to the coop this morning and found one of my hens dead. Her comb and wattle was a reddish purple color and it looked like she had vomit in her mouth. Her crop was empty and they hadn't been fed for the day yet. It also looked like she had wood chips in her mouth but that could be from...

    Easter Egger-- Thinking Roo

I know these pictures aren't the best but the chick was being super uncooperative so this is what I have to work with at the moment. The chick is about a month old now and originally I was thinking it was a pullet but now that it's getting older I'm sadly beginning to suspect that it's a roo...

    Missing Feathers

You can't notice she's missing feathers at all! I can only tell because they're just laying around the cage.

    Easter Egger Gender?

I have a chick that I'm assuming is an Easter Egger. I was wondering if anyone could tell the gender of the chick, I'm really hoping it's a hen but I'm not so sure. She's a little over 2 weeks now, so any help would be awesome! Thank You!

    Missing Feathers

One of my hens has just hatched out an egg(only 1) and is now raising the chick indoors until they are introduced into the flock. Just recently I saw she was losing some feathers, all small and no big ones. Is there a reason for concern or is she just making herself a more comfortable nest?

    Ameraucana/Easter Egger? Gender?

I have a chick that is either an ameraucana or an easter egger and I was wondering if anyone could tell by these pictures. I was also wondering if anyone could tell the gender of the chick, Im really hoping it's a hen but I'm not so sure.

    Hens Pecking Chick

One of my hens just recently hatched out a chick(only one). The chick is a little over 2 weeks old now so I decided I should bring the chick and the hen to meet the rest of the flock. The other hens in the flock keep pecking at the chicks head, should I do something?

    Ameraucana Breed/Color? (Updated Pics)

She's at about a week now so I wanted to provide some updated pictures to see if anyone could identify her color or gender any better than before. Her tail feather growth makes me think it's a hen, because I've never had a chicken develop feathers this fast and end up being a roo.
