    Thanks for the response and link. I've only had her for a few months.. there is no mucus or discharge. I started her on antibiotics today and hope that clears her up..

    I have never incubated MGB eggs before, but I thought I'd give it a shot. I just started collecting eggs and will be putting them in asap. I keep reading horror stories of very low fertility and/or low survival rate:( Are they more tricky to hatch? Also, does this sound right... about 40%...

    Bummer! Anytime I've seen MGB eggs/chicks for sale on Facebook they always seem to be closer to the east coast.. too far for me. Hope you have better luck! I've gotten all mine from poultry shows.

    Thanks for the response.. she actually looks much better today. The warm bath and preparation h seemed to help. I will definitely check and treat for mites and lice. She's new to the flock so I hope she didn't bring any bug friends with her:rolleyes:

    Thanks, there doesn't seem to be a very big gap in the wing feathers. Is this a rooster characteristic? Also, all three seemed to grow their tail feathers very early.. Unlike my previous roosters who were tailless for quite a while! I'm hoping that means pullet.
