If it happened at night it probably wasn't a hawk and could've been any number of predators. If you don't want the stress, you're going to have to build a more secure coop/run and maybe a bigger run area and only let them free range when you can be there to watch them.
It sounds more like a tapeworm to me if she is eating fine and just failing to thrive. An impacted crop wouldn't cause dramatic muscle/ weight loss, and would kill her in a few days. If she doesn't appear to have any rattling breathing sounds, runny eyes or nose, I would avoid the antiboitic.

I Would go with an 18ga needle or maybe a littl bigger (smaller number) if you can since the fluid will probably be on the thick side and just poke in the swelling and draw back on your syringe to withdraw the liquid.
If you were buying from a hatchery and they were going to do it for you for $.10 per bird then I would recommend it, but you shouldn't have any problems going without. If you check the stats on mareks for backyard flocks it's very, very low.
Those 2 stores may not have any chic feed for sale, but you can call ahead and ask. Try a local farm store if you have any close by. Not sure where you live but I see your name is rayjay, so maybe I'm worng but I'm thinking financial and TampaBay area (used to live there). You might have a...
The eggs that you get from your flock ARE definately more nutritious, but it doesn't matter what color the egg shell is. Typically people associate brown egg shells with "natural", "farm fresh", and/or "free range", but the color of the egg shell has nothing to do with it.
