Oh gosh i have a young Roo, not sure what he is but hes white with a large crest. Id love to find a home for him before problerms start with my big Roo. Anybody?- conada

Im in Blanchard, Ok. Just me, my grandchildren and a few chickens and Roo. I had them for going on 10 years. We enjoy the chickens as sorta pets and my GB love checking for eggs. Strictly a hobby!- conada

Aaaaaaahh!! Im sorry im just way to faint of heart to do any of these method's. Of course they are neseccary but i kring just thinking about it...i catch crickets in the house and set therm free....yes im that crazy one!- conada

So sorry for your loss....this happened to me one time. I was horrified that one a chicken died, two i never noticed a thing, third i had to tell my grandchildren! In the end i knew she hadnt suffered, the night before she was active and friendly as i closed their coop for the night and i dont...- conada

Thank you! I dont know if i have any magical reason my hens are still with me. I never knew there could be so many issues until i got on the internet, but ill take your suggestion and check out that thread! I havent navigated through all of BYC yet and look forward to it very soon!- conada

Oh wow!! Im a little tree hugger haha! I dont think i could do any of that. I realistic enough to know that happens but i could never do that...Thank you for the information. Of course a vet is out, not cost effective plus i called one once when my horse stepped on my pet chicken and broke...- conada

Thats a good idea. Guess ill check in on that when it starts getting warm....As i said in my last post my old girls are still active and eating. Ill need to watch them closely because i dont want them to suffer. If i do face having to put them down what are the best options?? I will not be...- conada

Gosh now I'm worried. I have one hen (Mrs. Speck) named by my grand children, shes going on 9 and hasnt layed in sometime. Also Red and Goldie who are maybe two years younger. They are healthy, big and fluffy but none have layed in close to a year. Now I'm concerned for their longevity...- conada
