Hello and welcome to my page. I'm a soon to be dad with my wife Ashley (Shadowhillsfarm). I get her into Chickens and she got me into BYC.
I'm doing a few projects to try to get some unique chickens. What I plan to do is cross my Conch Republic Gypsy Roo with various females (including a...
Was a fun swap. Was good to get out and see everyone again. We got home from it and found out a little surprise happened. Our broody cochin started hatching her eggs and we found a chick standing out in the middle of the pen. It is the chick of the hen we bought and then sold back to Will lmao...

I went there yesterday, they had flyers out at the cash register. I believe you have to purchase a spot
Ahhh.
They've got quite the hay selection. Really green stuff too.
I avoided the place for a long time because the name makes it sound expensive but it's not.
I used to get their $11...
Thanks, I plan on eventually going to OCS, but I'm going to stay enlisted for a little while. Maybe do a couple different jobs, my current MOS is only 3 years, going to try for another 3-4 years job after this one.
I decided to join the Army not to long ago. I've always planned on joining eventually, but with today's economy where I am (there are no jobs anywhere around me unless you have a BS/BA in something, even then you don't have much chance), I decided to speed things up a few weeks ago.
I talked to...
I'm shipping off to Fort Sill for BCT and AIT to be a rocket artilleryman for the Army so we decided to cut down our flock so that they can be cared for while I'm gone. We'll only be keeping a couple to see if we can get by with them as "house pets" after I'm done with AIT, so almost all of what...
They may, or may not. If you're worried about it, get Rouens. Bigger versions of Mallards that can't fly, and seem to be a little more friendly typically.

Wow. We thought it was a roo. Had lots of pin feathers and streamers, also has a big comb.
Would you by chance have any gold laced polish? I really don't mind what color but those catch my eye the most lol.
Wax bath? Try dipping the carcass in a pot of melted paraffin wax. When you pull the wax off it should pull all feathers off it too.
Not sure if it works on guineas, but worked on everything else I've cleaned.

Last time I check our Dunnellon TSC had some polish chicks, but they were white topped black I think. I'm going to pick up a few and if you want one I can grab one for you too if they still have any.
Hey that would be great. Thanks
No polish there. I'll check back every now and then...

try your local wildlife commission web site.
Ours have most of the larger but I did work with the DEP here so know many species that aren't on their sheet. Maybe go ask your local state park biologist.
The male could be harassing them to death. Do you have a breeding net? You can get them fairly cheap. Just mesh boxes you have on the side of the tank to separate gavid females or breeding pairs. Try putting a female in one of those, but be careful cause she'll eat the babies too.

OOh, those sound yuck...
BUT..after you get bit..you can go jump in the ocean....
But you feel the gnat bites for the next couple days.... We got them bad here too (Citrus County Area). Horrible little bugs... Have to worry about them more than mosquitoes.
