Yeah I know, we have a whole cut in the top of the coop. I have been begging my friend to help me build a better one (we didn't build this one, and I'm not very handy), but since he is really busy, I have to settle with painting it.

So, I went out to the coop yesterday to get the eggs, I noticed that one of them had a strange buildup of cement like stuff on the top. When I washed it I tried to pick it off with my fingernail, and I notice that that broke off part of the shell. We haven't pin pointed the chicken yet, but none...

As for the incubator thing, I haven't ever hatched chickens so I wouldn't know, but I would assume that it would effect the eggs because one side will probably get to hot.

They look like pullets, so you should go to your local farming store or something like that (Tractor Supply), and buy some food for them. Feeding them that and table scraps (everything but citrus and dairy) should keep them very happy.
