I agree too. My chick came out with her toes all curled up as if she was perching but after 24 hours (it could have been less) I wasn't watching lol. Her feet were normal.
prariechiken- Ok now i am not quite sure if it is a girl now. lol I'm just going to call it a she for now. She hasn't grown a comb yet so it is hard to tell at the moment, but if i go by what this man told me then i would say she is a girl. But then i suppose evry chicken changes and shows...

I am pretty sure it is a girl. I know someone who has bred this breed for years and he say's that when they are six weeks old the sides of the head go bright red if they are boys and so far nothing has changed in colour on the face for this one.
Hi, I don't know if my answer is right... But i read in a chicken book that bloody runny poop is a sign of red worms which they can get by eating earthworms.
Other than that i don't know what it could be.

Good luck to you too then lol. My little chick id the only one i've got which is kind of sad because i thought she would be lonely. But she loves habging out with the rabbit and Budgies lol. And she can't get enough human attention lol

Yes.. I was starting to think it was a tumour or something like that. So i kept an eye on it. It got to the size it is now and has stopped so like you say it is a good sign.

I don't no if i am putting this in he right forum. But my 6 week old Shamo chick has a lump thing just above her tail. When she first hatched she had what looked like a pink tail above where her tail would be. This then tuned into that lump thing, but the oink tail is still on it. I have got...
