No need to apologize at all. There is still a lot of confusion about Satins (Sizzles) & frizzled Silkies. If you see any misinformation posted on any of the forums, you're welcome to repost my collage to show the differences. I'll check my email. If I don't get back to you, please try...
I ship Satin hatching eggs so you would hatch out all 4 feather types - Silkie, frizzle Silkie, Satin, & frizzled Satin. I have a waiting list but I'd be glad to add you. You can read more about the eggs at https://www.facebook.com/CaliforniaCountryRanchPoultryAndWaterfowl & email me at...
Silkies with frizzled feathers are called frizzled Silkies. Satins with frizzled feathers are called frizzled Satins. Sizzle is the old name for Satins & isn't used any more.
If you breed a Silkie to a frizzled Silkie, all the chicks will be Silkies with about 50% regular & 50% frizzled...
That Silkie.Org site is way out of date & is giving out totally wrong information on Sizzles, Silkies, & Satins.. Sizzles were renamed several years ago & are now called Satins. They are a new breed project & they have all Silkie traits with the exception of the feather type which consists of...
"Satin" is the new breed name for what used to be called Sizzles. They are basically a new breed that has all the characteristics of a Silkie EXCEPT for their feathers which are regular barbed feathers with a really fluffy undercoat - like a Cochin. Silkies & Satins are 2 different breeds &...
This is what I do when my Silkies or Satins hit the teenage hormonal stage & become totally obnoxious. Get one of the plastic laundry baskets, hold it upside down & take it out to the pen with you. As sonn as your boy charges you, drop it on top of him - instant time out!! When you are done...
Thank you! I don't ship birds or chicks but I do sell the Satin (Sizzle) hatching eggs & you will likely hatch out all 4 feather types that are shown in my picture. I was actually one of three people that helped create the Satins & I've been breeding & showing them for a lot of years so I love...
I know this is an old thread but thought I would clarify anyway. There is no such thing as a Silkie Sizzle or a Silkie Satin. Sizzles are now called Satins & Silkies & Satins are 2 different breeds & both breeds come in regular & frizzled. So you have Silkies & frizzled Silkies with non...
Fabulously Feathered Silkies - No, Dawne Cullen, they were not found to be false - that's another of your lies. You reported to Yelp that we are competitors so that makes me ineligible to give you a review. My reviews on you were regarding your dishonest business practices & had nothing to do...
I've had Silkies for probably about 40 years & I helped create the Satin (Sizzle) breed that is 99.9% Silkie so I have plenty of hands on experience plus everything I've learned on the internet. Anytime I get a little full of myself & think I know it all, seems like something new comes along...
Just a little update to let you know what type of person Dawne Cullen aka Fabulously Feathered Silkies is. She went on to some of the old bad reviews about her on FB & posted, denying the claims as usual & trying to provoke more responses. Then when people replied, she went back & deleted her...
