Found it!!! And my duckies are still alive! Yay! So happy they didn't eat it and that i was able to find it. It isn't some 10k ring, but it meas a lot to us :)
TLWR thank you for that encouragement!!! I'm trying to locate a metal detector to borrow. I didn't think anything of it until he teased me that they were eating it. But I googled before posting and it sounds like ducks love shiny things?
Well long story short ring is/was in backyard somewhere. We've been looking for it but haven't found it. Lost about 24 hrs ago.he said he thought he saw them eating something shiney and later said he was poking me because iblost the ring. It's white gold, with quite a few diamonds. It didn't...
Im now unsure if they ate it. Would they try to eat something like that? I have a fairly small finger so Idk... Kinda sick right now. Don't want to put down my ducks n a maybe but don't want to lose my ring
Long story short one of our two female khaki Campbell's ate my engagement ring. How long should I expect it to take to pass through or will it damage the ring to let it pass? They are free range. I have one in a dog crate now and am having trouble catching the other. Tia
Yep, I'd say pullet too. By 8-9 weeks, my SLW roo had big very red comb/waddles compared to others. I do have some that developed waddles, but not red and not very large.... Hth
I think of the blue gene "like" a dilution gene. Meaning when present on a black bird, it "dilutes" it to gray, two copies present "dilutes" it twice so you get a light light gray to white-ish color. If the bird is black it doesn't carry the blue gene at all. This is just how I sort it out due...
Honestly, 400 is crazy high! Anything over 200 before you eat for more than a day or so is crazy high and the dr should be taking this more seriously.
160 units a day is an awful lot! I think sometimes doctors go "well you're just not eating right so I can't help you" and write it off. Really...

Again Katy, none of this is directed at you. I don't know why every time I post on breeding you take it as a direct insult or critique of "your program"... This is not a "whose more rural than whom" thread.
Please put "one" in the place of "you" when reading my posts, because "you" is used...
Well, we're going to have to agree to disagree.
I think one can be the best breeder one can be without going to shows, but I don't think that one can be considered in the "best breeders of the breed" without showing. Sorry to offend.
Edited for clarity.
Well, I live in a very rural area where the local hatcheries are as good as it gets. Ive been in horses and dogs my whole life, at a higher level, any kind of show within reasonable driving distance is a joke. But maybe I just look at this from a horse breeder's perspective.
I am familiar...
