How young do polish frizzles show frizzling?

If they have the frizzle gene then they will be frizzled, you will see it by 1-2 weeks of age. If they end up smooth feathered then they do not carry the frizzle gene.

5 days incubated & EXPLODED!! PEEEWWW!!

I am sure the egg was not old, It would have had a hairline crack that I missed when setting them. I know the smell is fading as I am not retching every time I go near the incubator, the rest of the house does not smell anymore.

How long do you reckon before they realise they can jump over this? ;)

If they are happy enough and have lots to scratch at they may not bother jumping the fence.

Hi all, please help This chook is roughly 16 weeks old and started gasping for breath late yesterday. I first thought because i had just after I had fed them and it had eaten too much and was being a pig! Still doing it today and I have separated it from the rest of the flock. Could this be...

    Help with this broody ..

Hi there, You can either try to separate her and give her her own area or you can just mark her eggs with a pencil and just check them when she hops of her nest every day. Good luck!

Is anyone able to give me advice - New Coop & paddock runs

Thanks for your reply. What about bantam chickens - does the same apply of 4ft per bird? Their coops are only for seeping in - they are never left in them - They are let out first thing in the morning and locked up at night.
