    Denegard?!

Thanks. took 4 days and she made a huge turn around. But she hasn’t laid eggs in about 2+ months. i had brought home 2 (unknowingly ) sick chicks which both passed...maybe cocci, and everyone got round worms, and was treated with Safeguard. My first experience with all that....but since then...

    Denegard?!

Yes. Thank you. We had more than sneezes this time. This chicken looks fine now but I suspect she has ( and the rest ) MG or MS. I treated her with my medicated eye drops , flushed her eyes with Vetmycin and flushed her nostrils with saline daily. (I also treated with Baytril. She isn’t a...

    Denegard?!

I know this is an old thread....but you sound like me. Spoiled chickens. small flock. Occasionally Sneezing...on and off......no vets. Actually we have a vet about an hour away, and it’s $200 to walk in the door.... Long story short,..last chicken vet bill was $900 ++ (2 vets) and she still...

    Weepy closed eye.

I think so too. She isn’t a meat bird and won’t be eaten, and she hasn’t laid eggs for months,...so I gave her oral Baytril. Small dose because I have to look up the correct dose again. She weighs 7 pounds. i Think it’s too late to separate her.

Let me just say this....last time we had an issue....took me forever to even find a vet to see my “exotic “ pet. $200 to walk in the door. After 2 different vets, and $1,000.00 ...then I still lost my chicken....and they had NO clue. I won’t do it again. not here in Boston. ...of we had a...

Anyone else have had this problem before? You name it , I have had it in my flock over the last two years. I clean my coop and my...
