Hi,

Only one out my three ladies is alive and I would like to buy new hens for my coop, she cannot be alone!!! Do you know any place in MA, RI or around here where I can buy some? I am looking for a cold resistant breed with a good egg productivity.

Were you able to find any new hens? I’m sorry no one responded. I’m not in your area so I don’t have any information for you. I’m sorry you lost 2 hens. I recently lost 1 to a hawk.

How far are you willing to drive?
There are a few places in Littleton or Townsend (both MA) that have some availability.

Have you tried Helen’s happy hens ? She has some great healthy birds, and offers pullets about every few months. They are usually brown colored pullets (I’m looking for light colored ones) and she Usually has some fancy polish and silkies.
