We know someone who is sick and they are claiming that living next to a backyard chickens, that is kept clean, is the cause. Like I said I couldn't find any information and they are unable to provide more details as well.
Hello, I didn't know where else to post this so, I was wondering if anyone can provide me any human health concerns with raising back yard chickens? We have recently been told of a sinus fungal infection as a result of living next door to a few chickens. I can't find any information anywhere...
Yes, I have posted on the local Facebook groups, I just wanted to reach as many people as I can, so I figured if there was anyone here that is not on Facebook they would see it as well.
Hello, we are in the process of trying to get our local ordinance changed to allow BYC. Currently as it stands you have to own between 10-20 acres to raise chickens and only 3 to own a horse. My wife and I as well as some other locals have been attending meetings in order to try to get this...
Hello, I am back again. The egger was making some strange sounds this morning almost like it was trying to crow. I have some new pictures to ask again about it. Thank you so much in advance. Age is 21 weeks today
It finally happened, my twenty week Australorp just laid her first egg!!! I am new to chickens and was blessed that I was cleaning the run/coop while she decided to lay this. It is a tiny egg weighing 1 ounce. My six year old daughter was so happy, she want's to check every hour to see if...

Hello, I have to get rid of my Blue Ameraucana that was supposed to be a female. He is a very pretty bird and I am hoping to find a good place that wants a rooster ( I can't have one). He is just just about 20 weeks old.
Hello again, thanks to everyone with the help with my wyandotte now I was wondering if someone could look at the picture of my Ameraucana and determine it's sex. The only reason I am asking is that occasionally I have someone crowing in my coop all my birds are about 18-19 weeks old. I know...
Hello, I have a silver laced wyandotte that is about 18 weeks old. What do you think it's sex is? I am kind of thinking rooster because of the hackles, but I am new to chickens.
Thank you
Craig
