I watch a lot of cooking shows lol. Can’t cook like they do. Am way pickier of an eater than they are. But I love watching them. This was dessert tonight.

Everybody is pickling at the moment! I couldn’t find mustard seeds nor dill. Can you use dried dill instead of fresh? I’ll check at a dif store tomorrow before I start anything. So no pickle making for me tonight. Booo!
Hubby wants to go to the store as well so instead of making 2 trips, I’m waiting a little bit longer. In the meantime.... here are pics of the littles. Officially 2 weeks old today. I swear it feels like I had them longer than that lol.

I'm so excited! I need to go to the store. I need to pick up a sweet onion, some mustard seeds, some fresh dill, some more kosher salt (I have some but not a whole lot left) and some celery seeds. I have plenty of vinegar and some other seasonings. I found some pretty simple recipes for pickles...
My hubby and I went to a Korean place and sweet pickled daikon (I think it was) was part of the meal. It was a white circle, thinly sliced and you wrapped meat or whatever else you could fit in it. Was the first time I ever had it and it was yummy.
My hubby has a book on "Fermented Vegetables". Did you know that you can pickle corn and eggplant and just about anything? I did not know this. I am learning new things. 🤔
I'm looking up recipes as I speak! These cucumbers are like mini clubs! Most of the recipes I am seeing so far are for using "pickling cucumbers", which are smaller. But I think I can still do slices with these, yes?
