    She died. I'm not sure what was the problem. None of my other chickens have been sick so hopefully it was a single event.

    Well she is not doing well. She won't eat or drink and is loosing feathers it looks like. I have her vitamins last night but wasn't able to baby her as much with my work schedule. Today she seems exhausted and didn't even try to eat. I think she may be dying.

    She is eating, drinking, and pooping. However, she still won't get up and walk. She is still resting in the bathroom. Any ideas on getting her to move. I'm sure it's not good to be still for three days.

    She are and drunk some overnight. She still put up a fight when I gave her water through a dropper. However, when I lay her down she doesn't pull her feet up under her. She won't even roll over. I've brought her in the house and put her in the dark to make her sleep. Any other advice. I'm...

    I just gave her some more water in a dropper and she put up MUCh more of a fight. When I sat her down in the grass a rooster immediately ran over and mounted her. I pushed him off. At least she's getting some energy back.

    She ate a small bowl if applesauce and a little yogurt since I gave her water. She just lays down if I put her in the grass. Her foot doesn't look hurt but she seems to keep one foot curled up. She still is making her normal noises so maybe she just wants time away from the flock.

    We don't have any vets in the area. The one an hour away doesn't see chickens. I dissolved some baby aspirin in water and feed her a couple of droppers full. She's nibbling on the apple sauce some. I have looked her over well and can't feel anything odd or visible hurt. I think a rooster...

    She hasn't ate much since this morning. She's not walking around, just laying. She still has water in her shallow bowl so she doesn't seem to be drinking either. I'm afraid she may be very hurt or sick. Suggestions?

    Putting free range chickens up at night

    Thank you all for your help. I am going to work on a roost this evening when I cools down some. I have rows of pine trees so I'm going to go look for large limbs to use. :)

    Will my 14 week chickens learn to roost at night or not? I had them a large metal pole about 2 feet off the ground but they never use it. Is it bc it's metal?
