I just got them today and was wondering about duckling colors? Drake is 4th from the right. At least that's what I was told by the guy that sold them to me.
Yeah we had thought about a thermostat. But with the constant switching on and switching off we was concerned about burning the balb out. My wife usually always comes home on her lunch hour and she can check the temperature then so I think will be okay. I hope.
It got down to -4* last night & the lowest the brooder got was 96*. I did add in an extra 125 watt heat lamp. I'll probably put the chicks in it today. Bush84 she is a very intelligent & hard working young lady. She gets that from her mom!
I'm ChickenChick00's daddy. This morning it was 4* & the brooder was holding 85*. I'm thinking one more clamp-on brooder light & we will be good to go.
My Mini Coop
Hi, I am building this coop for my 2 little girls. We are hoping to house 6-8 Silkies in here.
It is approximately 4'x8' with a run below the coop that is 2' high.
I also put two 2x2's spaced evenly across the width to help support the floor.
This is my painting crew...
My family & I would like to attend. As of now I don't know what we would bring food or otherwise. I'll post that later. Hope to meet you all in August.
