    Thanks! She a good girl too, nice & friendly. She'll be 4 this year, I'm still trying to get a dark hen from her eggs - I just keep getting dark drakes or slightly darker than normal hens! Everything I've read said dark hens are more rare.

    I use TownLine for all my poultry orders and LOVE THEM!! I ordered an Isa Brown and they sent me my AmberLink as a booboo.. wouldn't change it for the world. "Jewel" is one of the friendliest hens we have. Follows us around and is almost jealous if we pay any attention to any of the other ladies...

    update (post #26) on my 4 BJGs (ordered all roos) and 2 freebies ordered from Towneline Hatchery, Mich 1 is a Hen BJG 2 are Australorp Roos 1 may be a different breed all together!! pretty sure the remaining 2 are BJG roosters, YEAH! any guesses of what the random could be? It looks similar...

    I ordered 4 BJG roosters and got 2 "freebies" from the hatchery.. however some of their feet are pink and some are yellow... ? I know the Yellow/Black footed birds would be my BJG, what would look the same but have pink feet, not white?
