    Integration question.

I have four 12 week old girls now. We had 6 but two turned out to be roos and I can't keep them. Can I safely bring 2 newbies to the group? If so, should they be around the same age or should I get younger chicks?

It took a little longer than I expected but it's finally done. Boy, are my girls happy about that!

    Hardware cloth gauge.

I'm gonna go with 19 gauge. The savings is not worth it. Thanks all.

    Hardware cloth gauge.

Hello all. Another post got me to thinking about hardware cloth. I have my coop mostly framed out. I should be able to install the hardware cloth to the run soon. I see both 23 & 19 gauge, among others, on Amazon & MyPetChicken. Would 23 gauge suffice or should I go heavier. Thanks

    Current Hardware Cloth/Welded Wire Pricing

That's only 23 gauge wire. Would you chicken veterans recommend 19 gauge or better or is 23 good?

    Which chicks to pick?

I think the birds will be treated more as pets. We couldn't eat them. I would like to get more than a couple seasons out of them for sure.

    Which chicks to pick?

Hello all. I joined a while back in hopes of starting a flock but life got in the way. We are now ready to go though. I live in central NC and am wondering what good egg producers I should get? Thanks in advance!
