I found someone via Preloved or Gumtree, cannot remember which, a few years back. I agreed to drop them off. Took two Roosters and came home with another 4 hens!!!.
Hi
Just getting back into keeping chickens. Finished the coop tonight and the run is secure. Still have more to make for the run but ready to pick up my lovely ladies tomorrow.
Not many places have many left. Most places do not get anymore in until next February. Luckily found a place in Kent...
I am so excited to be getting them. I have lots of plans about how to develop the run and run area over time.
I have a swing to go up and plans for a gym. I have a small apple tree in the garden, which is planted too close to the garage. Once I cut it down I will put it in the run with some...
Hi NFC
I am going to get 5 hybids. There isn't a lot choice around at the moment as we are getting to the end of the season for point of lay hens in the UK. Next batch will not be available until February. I am hoping to a range of different egg colours as I think my granddaughter will enjoy that.
Hi All
My name is Debbie and I am from Kent.
I first started keeping chickens about six years ago but due to personal circumstances had to stop last year.
I have now moved into my new home and have decided life isn't complete without our feathered friends. So the run is up (8ft by 12ft) and...

All of the birds are friendly and are only being...
Thank you for your quick response. I will pick some baby vitamins up tomorrow and start her on those. I really do not want to lose her as she is so friendly and everyone's favourite chicken.
I have a 12 week old polish bantam with a twisted neck. She has been to the vets and he said she could have had a knock on the head or a vitamin deficiency. She eats a mix of chick crumb and growers but hasn't had veg for a couple of weeks as we have been on holiday. The vet has given her three...
Mine try to eat my freckles, my wedding ring and one ate a scab off my daughters ankle.
They also like my toes, the buttons on my shorts, my jean studs and beaded braclets.
I save the cracked eggs to hard boil. I then mash the eggs with thier shell and feed them to my young Perkins.
I give both the pekins and the hybrids a raw swede to keep them entertained. They also love cooked rice, couscous and spaghetti, grapes and any weeds or cuttings from the garden.
Hi Remme and Nosiphochooks
Thanks for responding. I agree the black and gold could be a roo and now you mention it the white's head feathers do look a little wild so could also be a roo. We do have another white who has more of a rounded hairstyle so hopefully that one is a girl. Really hoping...
