I was completely shocked to find the one of my hens laid twice today. I am absolutely certain of this since I only have six chickens and three lay green/blues eggs. Two lay dark brown and my Honey is the only one that lays a light pink/beige coloured egg. I feel that I am going crazy but she's...
Thanks everyone! This was such a lovely thing to watch today. I love my ladies but, besides the way my two Silkies so affection to me, I've never seen any sort of affection between them. This just makes me love them more now!

I just got my ladies this past spring so everything that I see is new to me. I just went out to check on them and watched one gently pecking at the feathers under another's beak. Both were very calm as this was happening. I am very familiar with cats grooming each other and so I wonder if this...
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! I have some previous vet tech experience so applying eye ointment, while challenging sometimes, is not scary. I will pick some ointment up. My little lady is now in a quiet corner in the basement and she seems to be settling down. I'm sure a 'home cooked' meal...
Thank you so much for your advice and direction. I will bring her inside this evening when I get home. She is such a darling and I want her to feel better as soon as possible!
