    We are nearly finished our coop (converted part of an old horse shed....)! Just some finishing touches to do as we have time. An opportunity came up to get our first two chickens this past week, so we went ahead and got them! The White Leghorn is "Nadia" and the Rhode Island Red is "Thelma"...

    Unfortunately our 70 degree weather from yesterday turned to around 30 and several inches of snow! so we have put off for another week our chicken coop preparation work.......sign.......patience, patience.......
