Don't worry about that. Just focus on making sure your chicken has enough calcium. I recommend buying oyster shells and spreading those around the coop. You can even feed them their own eggs shells after you let them dry.

My chickens like eating that stuff. But it is not suitable for normal food. Your loval Tractor Supply Company should have some or even some Walmarts carry big 40 pound bags.
