Pretty much been taking a break from BYC. Been on FB instead, and now taking a break from that! Just don't have time to take care of all the birds and sit on the computer both.

One day sale breeder's choice turkey poults 15 poults new hatch

Anybody up for a box of 15 breeder's choice poults? I filled a bunch of orders today but still have a lot left over. They would have to be shipped 5/2, I can take them down to the post office up to 6 pm tomorrow 5/2. So think about it and let me know: $10 each plus shipping which is usually...

Adult and young heritage turkeys, many varieties

I am thinning out turkeys to make room for this year's birds. I have a large selection, most of the hens have been in with a tom, so their eggs are fertile. All are kept in separate breeding pens and genetics are known. Most are last year's hatched turkeys, a few hens are 2-4 years old but still...

We have more turkey than we can eat. I feed raw to my livestock guardian dogs, so they help thin out. But no way would I turn them loose only to feed the local bobcats. Besides, they are my breeding stock for the next year. I do not grow new toms each year, only if there is a reason one needs...

Don't give anybody those kinds of ideas! Last year I hatched nearly 1000 poults. Now a good number of those were sold, but a lot were not and I'm still dealing with the after math! I have a couple of project breedings going on this year where I need to hatch more than a few to get the colors I...

That's a good idea, just don't keep any of those Nn toms. When you get that hidden n in a tom, it can be such a pain: can't tell they have it without test matings. I have a nice group of Sweetgrass from Porter, 1 tom and 4 hens and another pen has a Red Sweetgrass tom over 2 Fall Fire hens. I...

One turkey will be a very unhappy bird. They are flock birds and should be with more of their own kind, just like chickens. I sell my poults for $15 if less than 15 are purchased. I have a lot of adult turkeys for sale but not for $20!!

@R2elk Kevin told me he was forced to change since his hosting company was getting rid of all old formats and it was the best he could come up with for the moment.

Dang, thank you! I keep forgetting about using the scroll bar on the mouse. That did the trick.

I just looked at it again after your post. I don't like it. I can't get to all the varieties. When I get the drop down list, I can only get as far as Fall Fire and then the rest are off the screen. I'll message him about it. I am using Firefox as my browser.

No...I had to put a Buff Ameraucana in a broody-breaker cage about a week ago. She's back in with the flock now.

My suggestion is get them from someone who lives in a hot climate and has been breeding for enough seasons so that the ones that don't take the heat are weeded out. My Black Copper Marans and Blue Copper Marans have handled the heat well but I got some chicks a couple years ago from a NW breeder...
