I have put silkies in with large and small they dont fight at all but I do use a red light when I lock em up for the night just so they dont eat each other due to some when they was younger had done but silkies hold their own :-)

a shoebox is crazy they must have wanted the most buck so they went with a shoebox as for upside eggs they can be put right if you let them set as you should anyway,airbubbles sumtimes reset them selfs when i get em like that i keep them in incubator sitting big side up for at least 2 days...
1 of the 2 just hatched so i hoping since today is 21 for them then the other 1 will hatch sometime soon! as for my quail eggs dang they are on day 18 and only 2 pips so far!

the guy i got my maran eggs from is sending me more i guess but i did candle the 2 and i can see 1 moving so and the other 1 is way toooo dark for me to see anything,im still waiting for my quail they are on day 16 and still got no pips:( but i candled a couple and they are still moving in...
