    Sick chicken

Thank you for responding. I think if she’s still with us tomorrow we’ll be heading to the vet. She’s a very sweet girl.

    Sick chicken

Well she just pooped again but it’s the first time in almost 48 hours (pic below), no blood. Haven’t felt inside her vent but her abdomen feels full of fluid no egg that I can feel. She’s been in the dark overnight and then a calm place during the day. Not trying to stop her from laying eggs...

    Sick chicken

My 1 1/2 year old chicken was found outside the coop the other night dropping her behind and was lethargic. We brought her inside and she had a very watery yellow colored poop (pic below). I thought egg yolk peritonitis or possibly egg bound. It’s now day 3, she’s eating and drinking like...

    Is this a roo?

That’s what I thought as well. I was so looking forward to the dark brown egg color. We’ll see how he does but we’re definitely not looking for a rooster

    Is this a roo?

I have two almost 8 week old Black Copper Marans that are supposed to be female. I’m questioning if one of them is a roo and I’m looking for any input. The one on the right is my concern.

    Mating

I was supposed to have 7 females for the one drake but we lost a female last week and one of the girls turned out to be a drake. So now I’m left with 5 females and 2 males. Not the best combination. I’m looking to either add more females or get rid of one of the drakes. Problem is they’re...

    Mating

I ended up rescuing a pair of rouens and one of them turned out to be a Drake. My question is related to the fact that I have female welsh harlequins and they are smaller than the rouens. Will this be an issue when they mate? My plan was to only have hens and this wouldn’t have been an issue...
