Brand new 3gal waterer leaked in my brooder and i now have 10 yucky week old broiler chicks (fair project) i have cleaned and replaced the bedding and the chicks are dty and warm under the heat lamp but their down is stiff and yucky from dried crumbles. Im afraid to wash them and stress them out...
Ive been feeding my daughters show bantams (OEGB, cochins, Duccles) layer crumbles. I feel we are lacking in plumage. Should I be feeding them game bird feed?. my feed store has one by Manna Pro that is 30% protein.
My 9-10 week old bantam chicks are starting to fight in their solid bottom cage. I haven't been able to get the chain link panels for my new coop yet and don't want to take chances putting them with the layers. Can I separate them into 18x24 individual wire rabbit stacker
cages for now...
I decided to try penpals layer crumbles but when I opened the bag it was practically DUST. My layers hate it (my bantams dont mind) can I ferment this feed? I was thinking it would make it easier to eat than dust

I still have to build a hen house and a place for the them to roost but for now they are sleeping on top of the cages they were living in the past 5 weeks
I WANT MORE!!!
This is my soon to be coop. Its the end of my rabbitry. Hopefully we will get it done soon since my chicks are fast outgrowing the cages I have them in right now
My new month old GSLs turned on one of their own today. when i bought them friday there were about 20 of them crammed in a water trough and they got along fine - i bring home 4 - put them in a cage where they had more space and now they act like this?
