Our Buff Orpington has gone broody a couple times. We just isolated her in a wire bottom cage for two or three days with food and water and she snaps right out of it. We did the same for our Silkie and it worked like a charm. Good luck with whatever you decide for your feather baby. :)
We bought them as week old babies, not knowing what they would turn out to be. It would be my luck since we're not allowed roosters. Lol. I have a friend who can though so they'll be excited to inherit some roos in a couple months. Ill keep them until they start crowing... no one will know right? :)
