    I have a love/hate relationship with my bread machine. I love that it does the mixing and kneading for me, hate the texture of the bread that's baked in it. So I take the dough out when its done kneading, and rise it elsewhere and bake in the oven . So much better.

    I bought my new maytag washer in 2021, I've yet to get a load of laundry that I didn't have to rewash something. Even accidentally left a receipt in the pocket when I washed, and it came out bone dry and readable! I'm saving my money to buy an old fashioned speed queen washer, no computer...

    Still cold here, with 4 inches of ice on the looong steep driveway. I won't be going anywhere for a long time. Oh well, that's why I grow and put up food. I can sit here for months and not need anything. Moved the chickens into the house, a spare bathroom. 3 chickens to a 48" round pet playpen...

    Its making my bulbs think its spring too, daffodils are halfway up and one of my hyacinth is in bloom! Supposed to snow on Friday, so weird.

    Is it just me, or does it seem like there's been a huge uptake in allergies in the last few decades? When I was growing up it seemed almost nobody had allergies, now it seems like everyone does.

    I never downsize, like to cook in big batches and put the extra in freezer. Instant meals for those super busy days when I don't feel like cooking! Which is often, lol
