C cook those beans for 8-10 minutes, then put them back in the pickle juice and they'll be fine. Love dill beans!

I think it looks fabulous and if it makes you happy, that's all that matters. Jake doesn't have to like it, he's not wearing it.

What did you do in the garden today?

I am so sorry this is the case for you too! I rely on my garden for most of my food, so a bad year really hurts. I don't can much besides marinara, pickles and jam. The rest is made into meals, divided into portions and into the deep freezer. My best year ever I had all 365 meals with only...

What did you do in the garden today?

Happy for all of you, but so jealous too. I should be raking in tomatoes like crazy now, and putting up sauce. Between all the excess rain setting in disease, and then me getting covid again I've lost all my summer garden. First time in 40 years that i just couldn't take care of it properly. All...

Both sets of parents don't have to live the consequences of your decision. Only you do. Ask yourself, are you better off with or without them. Consult the goddess, make your decision from a place of total calm and understanding of what the results will be of your choice. Sometimes the answer...

I keep chard through the winter also. Row covers over the beds and I harvest kale, chard and carrots all winter. It slows growth dramatically in winter, but if I get it big enough before really cold weather I can pick some every week all winter long.

I love rhubarb! So much so that I can't tell you how much money I've spent trying to get it to grow . I had it when I lived in new mexico, just popped it in the ground in full shade and it thrived. Such an easy plant, I thought. Here in kentucky, can't get it to survive. I've tried full sun...

What did you do in the garden today?

Thank you, should I try putting them in quart mason jars in case one breaks? Lessen my chances of losing them all?

What did you do in the garden today?

Made 2 loaves of bread, with honey and a little orange peel for French toast tonight. Getting an excess of eggs now that the littles are laying too, so gotta use some of them up. No more room in the fridge for them. Maybe a couple quiches for the freezer next. My dog eats 2-4 eggs a day, so want...

What did you do in the garden today?

Powdering all the dried herbs I've been collecting for the chickens nesting box mix. Lot of different things in there, but such a high proportion of lavender and mint that my house smells amazing right now!

What did you do in the garden today?

I can't tell from the picture, not even if the stems are square. Rub the leaves, does it smell like lemon then? Maybe catnip?
