They must be some nice pots! I just use 5 gallon buckets, some from kitty litter, some from donut shop, home depot, wherever....but I put all the pretty pots with flowers in front of the ugly food growing buckets.
I doubt I'll be getting fruit from my trees this year. Plums were done flowering, and all the peach and nectarine trees were in full bloom when the last freeze came through. There's still hope for the cherries and apples, and isn't that what gardening is all about. We plant a seed and hope.
Keep looking, I found mine at a fish store having an herb sidewalk sale. It was an itty bitty thing then, huge now. Never know where you're going to find something.
Its been so beautiful here weatherwise, hard to believe they're predicting snow monday. Oh well, took advantage of beautiful weather while it was here and got lots of garden prep work done.
The jicama seeds that I forgot, soaking them for 4 days, instead of one, just sprouted! Can't believe it, planted them just in case, but didn't really believe they'd sprout. Guess I'm getting jicama after all this year. Yay
Oh what a bad influence you were on me!!!! I went to check out your seed calendar and ended up ordering 30.00 worth of seeds. Or maybe you were a good influence, they were all medicinal seeds so look at all the money ill save on doctors, lol. Either way, thank you posting that, never heard of...
You can pinch off pepper plants, they'll branch out more and you'll get more peppers. I especially do this with my poblanos since they get so tall. Last year I did it with my lemon spice jalapenos, and they were like little puff balls in the garden, maybe a foot tall, but they were so loaded...
Got some of the pots cleaned and wrapped with copper tape. A lot more of them to do, but trying to find time to squeeze that chore in. Got to pot up all my seedlings tomorrow, the jalapenos finally popped up in their cells.
