What did you do in the garden today?

last night I planted my onion seeds and moringa seeds. My marigolds and cabbage seeds are popping up, so I turned the grow lights on

The chive patch is weed free now. The new chive shoots are already around 4 inches tall.

Congratulations! I checked and my chives are just starting to poke out of the ground. Still a good sign; I'd thought they were dead.

Tarragon was peeking out too, and had signs of digging around it. I put on the wire cloche; hopefully that will keep off the rabbits.

I had a second ghost pepper sprout, so I moved it under the grow lights. The rest are still taking their time!

One batch of 6 standard white Cornish chicken eggs that I ordered from eBay arrived after one week in shipment and another batch of 6 from a different vendor is still in transport after a week and is expected to arrive on the 25th of next week and this one was shipped first.

Do either of the batches have any sort of warranty regarding hatchability?

Planted peas and taters today. Miragreen peas, Kennebec and Red Pontiac spuds. Hardening off the cabbage and collards, tomatoes are rockin’ along(Early Darlings and Marzanos), lopes, cukes, and watermelons are up and starting to put on true leaves. The peppers are sprouting but if there is such a thing as a lazy plant these would certainly qualify. I actually shocked myself when I realized I’m actually posting a gardening post.

I'm behind. I'll try to read and catch up as I can.

But I've been busy! I just finished up-potting tomatoes over the weekend. Fixed sprinklers, emitters and even replaced a bad valve solenoid.

I need to take more pictures but it's been really hot here so I've been focused on keeping things alive. It's only March.... But it's been in the high 80's, low 90's this week. I think this summer is going to be a record setter. I'm noticing that years they predict an el nino we get the hottest summer heat waves.

Yes, mine took 12 days for all of them to sprout with the jalapenos being the slowest to break soil. So hard waiting.
