Pretty please use 2"x4"s flat, not on edge, as chickens prefer to sleep flat-footed. I read that 10 yrs ago and changed out one roosting bar for a flat 2"x4". No one wanted to roost anywhere else. Then I put a 6" wide board in. Everyone wanted that.

I have not been able to find Tylan 50 injectable for SO LONG. I used to be able to just buy it at Tractor Supply. I just bought it online here (need a prescription in California). It is incredibly frustrating to not be able to purchase the best medicine for so...
If you have any that are not standing or opening their eyes, I had GREAT success with raw scrambled egg four times a day for three days. Full recovery. Good luck!
I am sure that you did this, but check under his feathers for deep gashes. He could have a disguised open wound so deep that it is not bleeding.
Shots of anti-biotics if you find a wound, along with wound care. Poor guy...

SO glad she is doing well. I had a RIR with impacted crop - gave her olive oil soaked bread (read about it somewhere on BYC!) and it worked. I isolated her, of course, to treat her. Maybe as soon as you notice an issue in the future? Again, so glad your girl is well.
I left mine inside the coop for six days and have never had a "roosting outside the coop" issue. Ever. : )
Be sure you protect the coop from underneath. I predator can just pick up the small Tractor Supply coops and scoot under. Raccoons work together to do this. I have a main coop and a mini...
YES! I hang a small fan under the eave against a high venting opening outside the coop (north side) which blows right through and out the other venting opening on the south side. It really moves the air.
