    Christmas present from my chickens! First egg!!

    I just bought three hamburgs they are my first chickens. They are just old enough to start laying but i dont want to put a light in their coop. Do you guys have lights in your coops?

    So do you have to buy whole cayenne peppers or do you just shake a little out of the spice jar? Sorry if this seems like a silly question I am new to chickens

    @gambit2178 are those all chickens in your coop are do you have another kind of bird. I ask because i would love some quail as well as chickens

    @BrickWall Honey My dad's boat is lucky duck. they only live in va during summer months for fishing.

    Hey there I'm on Delmarva in Maryland and I'm looking for a place to get a couple young bantam laying hens. My husband is almost finished building my coop but I still haven't found a chicken breeder. I will be a first time chicken owner so I don't want chicks. Any recommendations would be fabulous.
