Well we took Daffy to the vet. He said that the cause could be an over-active sex drive. Which describes Daffy. So, he has to be separated from the others for awhile and the doctor said to put preparation H on it 2-3 times a day. He said it doesn't look infected so that is good - but watch for...

That was really helpful! Thank you! I hope we can help him... I may call the vet before doing anything.. And I may try the bath because I would think that would help sooth it.

We just put the ducks up for the night and I was able to get a better look... It is not going all the way back in - and I'm not sure what it is supposed to look like, but it looks swollen to me :( I really feel for him because I think he is in pain.

No... I didn't know a warm bath was safe but I had a feeling that would be soothing... Will he get overheated?

I think she is a special little number :) I have always thought she was unique! She can be the most excited running around, jumping and flying; and then, she can be the calmest duck too. She is so cute - she will yell at me if I check on them and she is expecting something more - like a treat or...

My Daisy Duck has been laying off by herself today... She did this once before and it resolved after a day. But during "nap" time or when they are settled down and resting for a bit, she will come by our sliding door and rest or sleep alone while the others sleep in the yard or somewhere else...

Daphne seems to be doing really good... I did notice a "cough" this morning but my husband thinks is sounds more like a sneeze... So it seems to be only in the early morning hours that I notice this... And it could be after eating, I'm not sure what they are doing before I check on them... Is it...

She doesn't seem to be coughing when I am around - but I can't be with her all the time.. I was wondering if the clear fluid coming from her nostrils could be from her drinking right before - bc I haven't noticed it again until just now after they went for their first swim of the day..??

All of that seems ok ... I will check again tomorrow though in the light. If all of that is ok, could it be that I am making something out of nothing?
