I hope y'all understand all my questions! And have some insight...

Well we took Daffy to the vet. He said that the cause could be an over-active sex drive. Which describes Daffy. So, he has to be separated from the others for awhile and the doctor said to put preparation H on it 2-3 times a day. He said it doesn't look infected so that is good - but watch for...

That was really helpful! Thank you! I hope we can help him... I may call the vet before doing anything.. And I may try the bath because I would think that would help sooth it.

We just put the ducks up for the night and I was able to get a better look... It is not going all the way back in - and I'm not sure what it is supposed to look like, but it looks swollen to me :( I really feel for him because I think he is in pain.

No... I didn't know a warm bath was safe but I had a feeling that would be soothing... Will he get overheated?

I really appreciate any and all help AND hope that someday I will know enough to contribute to this wonderful community of duck lovers! I have another duck with some issues :( It is Daffy, my black runner duck. Yesterday I noticed he wasn't himself - usually when I walk up to the coop, he...

    Is my duck a loner?

I think she is a special little number :) I have always thought she was unique! She can be the most excited running around, jumping and flying; and then, she can be the calmest duck too. She is so cute - she will yell at me if I check on them and she is expecting something more - like a treat or...

    Is my duck a loner?

My Daisy Duck has been laying off by herself today... She did this once before and it resolved after a day. But during "nap" time or when they are settled down and resting for a bit, she will come by our sliding door and rest or sleep alone while the others sleep in the yard or somewhere else...

    New to all this!

So I decided to take Daphne to the vet bc she has continued coughing... The vet checked for parasites and it was negative but she said that it could have been a false negative bc it doesn't always show up :/ so she said the next thing would be to treat for a bacterial infection with some...

    New to all this!

Daphne seems to be doing really good... I did notice a "cough" this morning but my husband thinks is sounds more like a sneeze... So it seems to be only in the early morning hours that I notice this... And it could be after eating, I'm not sure what they are doing before I check on them... Is it...

    New to all this!

She doesn't seem to be coughing when I am around - but I can't be with her all the time.. I was wondering if the clear fluid coming from her nostrils could be from her drinking right before - bc I haven't noticed it again until just now after they went for their first swim of the day..??

All of that seems ok ... I will check again tomorrow though in the light. If all of that is ok, could it be that I am making something out of nothing?

I forgot to tell you that I do put poultry vitamins with electrolytes in their water. I just started putting apple cider vinegar in their water recently. Where do you get the probiotics? No yogurt to give them :/

We feed the ducks All Flock pellets... They do have a big waterer and I clean it and put fresh water in it daily or as needed. I'm not sure if they can dunk their entire head in the waterer but they can whole beak in there.. They are in a coop that sits high off the ground with chicken mesh as...

    New to all this!

I posted awhile back about one of my ducks (Danni, a Khaki) having seizures and within days she was gone :( Well I have been very alert to any changes with my other five ducks who never showed any of the signs or symptoms Danni had. This morning before I went to work I checked on my ducks making...
