    I hatched these guys together last june. there are currently 5 drakes and 4 hens, a few began fighting each other about a week ago. currently the aggressors are separated. my last choice is getting rid of them. should a reintroduce them, and let them fight it out or what? any input would be great.

    Will a hen take care of chicks regardless if she is broody

    I am testing the fertility of my hen and rooster and popped 2 eggs in the incubator. They could hatch on tuesday to early wednesday. The hen who laid them never went broody.     first off never have chicks on pine shavings. put him on paper towel or at least newspapers. he might have eaten some of the shavings causing him to have pasty waste. try that hopefully someone will be more helpful.

    How can you tell if a egg is fertile with out incubating it. I don't want to be a doctor tiller and incubate them and then abort the incubation.
