I truly was in denial, even though his comb and waddle made a statement! Then the noises came...lol...still tried to deny. Finally, I had to figure out what I was going to do. I am looking at some 6 week old pullets this weekend. Quarantines and integration is the next part of this experience...

Does anyone have current pictures of their roo? Because he was white-dot-less and darker, I'm not 100% sure he is SG. It's been a fun, yet confusing few months, for sure!!

Hey there! I posted a pic on another thread, and was pointed in this direction. My daughter brought home a chick that was supposed to be a sexlinked sapphire gem pullet back in March. She, I mean he, is such a good chicken. lol I wanted to share these pics with y'all!

I have been combing (haha) through pictures on Google. He doesn't seem to be as fluffy as an Orpington looks...as of yet.. But, are blue Australorps popular in the US? They both seem wonderful (great mix up, if he is one). I'd love to find some pullets!

I'm sorry to hear about your chick. I'm in MidTn also. I just posted about one of my 2 pullets being a cockerel. (Well, she is a rooster...) I'm thinking about adding started pullets to give me 4 gals to 1 boy. He is starting to get hormonal. They are 15 weeks old. Let me know what you decide...

Tell me that I am being impulsive and need to chill... I may have found a hatchery in MTn with started pullets...12 weeks old. (Poultry Hollow). Found this by searching started pullets TN. (Love this forum already!) I add 3 this weekend. Introduce them over the next before we leave. Good or bad...
