She prolapsed her vent and the vet put a stitch in but it must have been too tight and caused her to become impacted. I have had chickens for 7 of my adult years and grew up with chickens but have never experienced anything like this.
She is eating and drinking. Just shaking her head a lot and was screaming when she was straining. I think I cleared a good amount of stool out now she is perched and sleeping.
She may have laid one egg two weeks ago but nothing since. Her comb is really red is that an indicator that she could be ready to lay?
