    You can also use quail water lids that screw onto a jar, in my experience they work great for chicks.

    Out of 13 eggs 3 are good. I’d say because originally had her clutch hidden behind a stack of wood that was in the sun and they go rained on before I found where she was sitting.     I actually have no idea, I got the parents from Atwoods, I think they get their chicks from ideal poultry. Same for the silkies I used
