    Today when i came home i found 2 eggs that had been layed outside rather than the nesting box, when i went to lift them they were soft and membrane like almost like no shell around it Can some one advise me whats wrong???

    Hi, Can someone help me, when i reach down to pick up my hen she stands frozen to the spot and sort of raises her wings/shoulders and put her head down, is this some sort of protection stance, she kust stands ridgit, when i move away she carries on as normal- sorry for asking stupid questions:/

    Someone has told me to place one or two golf balls in the nesting box to encourage the hens to lay- Is this correct ?
