I LOVE looking at other people'pages so I told myself I better get a move on and fill in mine or I will never do it. So here goes........My name's Caitriona, I'm from Ireland (nope I have never seen a leprechaun, I don't like Guinness and my hair isn't red......just thought I would squish those...
I have a 3 day old Bourbon Red Turkey chick who has something wrong with one of his feet. At first I thought it was just straddle leg so I put a straddle leg splint on his legs but now I think its something else.
Straddle leg is where the chicks legs are splayed out, right?? Well thats NOT...
I have wanted Silver Lace Wyandottes since I started hatcing eggs but I never found ones that I really really like but I have seen these ones on ebay (i can't get them anywhere in Ireland) and I just HAVE to have them.

Yeah, the commitment I would have to make to it would be enormous..........but then I don't know if I am physically able to kill it.....its just not in my nature!
I would love to do that but would I be doing it just to make me feel better. What kind of quality of life is he going to have if he has to be seperated from all the other chicks and be left on his own most of the time??
Ok, just wanted to let all of you who helped me out that the Orphy is alive and thriving, I have moved him back in with his pen mates.
I never figured out what was wrong with him exactly, after I did the water thing with him I just left him alone in his pen and he was jumping around the next...
