GOOD NEWS! She passed the egg with no help at all. Eggs a bit bigger then usuall. It was normal on one side and white on the other (fells like concrete) and normal colour in the middle of white part. Shes walking around and going off with the rest of the flock!
One of my isa brown was very droopy and has been waddleing around. She is straining her vent and is pooping white stuff. She is eating and pecking but also sitting down. She is usually running away from me but now she cant run and is easily picked up. Is she eggbound? and what do i do?
one is healing a bit but the other one opened up again. Its got a bit of blood but its still responsive and it happend about 3 days ago now. Do you think the reopening of it will make it worse or will it just heal over?
he survived the night and hes looking good. I do care alot about all my animals. I have 4 chickens use to have 5 but lost one to heatstroke and my quail were rescued from being snake feed.
just cheacked on it. It was drinking water that had antibodics in it. But i noticed it has a tilt in its head but it was cherping and looking around. Do you think it will survive?
My quail was sitting in the box and i thought it was laying an egg so i left it. I came back an hour later and discoverd a head injury due to a cuttle fish falling on it. (In cage with budgies) i took it out of the cage and gave it warmth and water inside. There are 2 wounds about half the size...
I'm not sure we did not get any silkie or silkie cross. We got 2 of each and we hatched them. I might try find out more but I don't thinks its a silkie. We had 8 in total
About 2 weeks old we were told it would be silkie or silkie cross but none of the chicks we got looked like a silkie at all. Can you tell me what it looks like?[/IMG]
My hen was broody so every now and then we took her out of the coop so she could eat. She let out a rip if a fart and pooped everywhere. She's still here 5 weeks later and with 2 chicks. She improved when we gave her water.
These are my isa browns. the white 1 is older and is older than the red one. But the red one has a bigger comb and is worrieing me because we can't have roos. We were told they were both pullets and we got them from the show. Do you think they are both hens
