    FEW TOO MANY ROOSTERS! 😳😂

Also, I don't recommend keeping Drake's (that male duck) with your hens. He could cause serious internal damage since I read that they have very different anatomy. I don't have any personal experience but I've just seen a lot of stories of hens getting hurt from Drake's.

Given wrong chick? Need 2nd set of eyes...

Upon searching up a picture of Barnvelder chicks the dark legs do look weird to me. I think it's possible that it's some kind of bantam.

Not necessarily a real thing. Just since this is a chicken keeping forum I assumed that your friend has a goose who patrols their front door, lmao. I have never heard of or seen those ceramic porch geese, so I thought it's a real goose:gig

LOL, when you said "for your friends porch goose" before, I legitimately thought you meant your friend has an actual goose that hangs out near their porch. I was wondering how the goose will feel wearing it and whether the hat will fall off and get destroyed by the angry goose, and then I saw...

Ameraucana and silkie beards being plucked bald

Definitely doing that, thanks. I'm also planning on expanding my run to 2x its current size in the spring, so that would be much better too!

Oh! I know that pattern. I didn't buy it because it seemed expensive but I found a dupe on Ribblr for it so I don't need it anymore. Thanks anyway!

Yeah. I intentionally made the stitches as tight as humanly possible to make one perfect little amigurumi. I think if I made stitches a bit looser and still used yarn under my wrist won't hurt anymore. So I tried that on this little possum today and sure enough my wrist didn't hurt. But maybe...

I made a little Christmas Snoopy! So cute. I used yarn under single crochets for the first time and aimed to make this as perfect as possible and I really love how he turned out. But to be honest the yarn unders really hurt my hand, they're harder to do, don't always stay on the hook before pull...

Ameraucana and silkie beards being plucked bald

Update: Moony the rooster's beard is still and I think will always be bald. Cindy's stopped being plucked and grew back. They are on different roots so I think that means one of my original flock hens is plucking Moony bald. But it's okay as he is healthy and happy as ever and my flock dynamics...

Black sex link with pea comb?

Hi everyone! Olive laid her first egg yesterday at 26 weeks 3 days old exactly! We were right! I have been checking the nesting boxes every day in her little coop, with Fernando the silkie rooster, for so long. She is the only hen in that coop because she keeps wanting to eat other hens eggs...
