How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

I have 21 chickens, and 7 of them are roosters or cockerels. 2 nom laying pullets, 1 post broody and 1 broody, and the rest are layers (11 of them most of whom havent been laying). Anyway, yesterday, I checked both coops and there was one egg. I was so surprised. Today, there's 10 eggs. I swear...

HELP!! Keeping days old chicks warm enough after they all got wet

The heater is ok if your room is on the dry side. As long as temperature is pretty high they don't need "chick heaters". Just make sure you lower the temperature every week and keep it high while they are still wet. I wouldn't be too concerned unless they were absolutely soaked, like straight...

My sweater progress: I still had some of that dark pinkish color left on the cake so I used my yarn winder to take out all of that color and cut it when it changed into this pinkish brown color. I think this is my best shot at doing the sleeves symmetrically as this is where it will match the...

Guys I'm sure none of you have ever seen this genius hack. I learned this from an ancient crocheting and knitting community that dates back to... 2005. And that magical place ... Is called YouTube. (This is a joke in case my humor sucks and you didn't realize)

Separating the yarn might be a great idea if you don't mind tying the yarn if you want specific patterns in the color. Especially because DK yarn tends to be 8x the price of worsted 🙄I specially chose this yarn because I wanted the colors to change in the sweater without any end weaving or tying...

My sweater has dried, but now it smells a bit... Musty. Maybe it was the mat that trapped too much moisture. I'm not sure what to do other than wash it, but if I understand correctly, washing machines and dryers damage crochet. So does that mean all I can do to wash it is just do the whole...

It was still damp this morning when I checked. I'll check again once I get home, it's been almost 48 hours!

Yes it is Meowth! It fades a bit in each color before changing to the next color. I never cut and reattached the yarn!

    Ella2025's Experiment Broody Hen Hatch-A-Long

I have no idea if saffron really did start crowing. I haven't heard a thing since that morning at 4 am which I wasn't even sure of. Maybe he's just terrified of Dad.

    Ella2025's Experiment Broody Hen Hatch-A-Long

The funny thing is he didn't use me to try to get higher but he flew to me from the ramp to the coop door and flew into the coop inches from the ramp, from my shoulder 🤣

How long will drying take? Yesterday, even though I tried my hardest to squeeze as much water out as possible, it was still very, dropping wet when laid it out on these mats. This morning it's very wet. The humidity in here is 20%!

I'm finally blocking my sweater. I see a lot of crusty stuff forming a film on the top of the water. Good thing I decided to do this before wearing it.

    Ella2025's Experiment Broody Hen Hatch-A-Long

I came into the coop to dump a bunch of food scraps. They Saffron flew straight at me! I thought he was attacking me but then he just landed on my shoulder and stood there for a while. I was so confused. Then he flew straight in the coop door and left. I think he got this skill from his mom who...
