Well it looks like I'll be building alit bigger of a coop now.. My original plan of having 6 or 7 chickens has now turned into me having a brooder full of 29 chicks and 2 ducklings... I just don't know what happened... Haha
Yeah that's what I figured. I put them in with my older wellie chicks and seem to get along just fine. Is there any special care that the dottes require??
Thank you. And I only have 1 heat lamp at the moment but my ducks don't seem to like the heat from it. I never see them get anywhere near it like the chicks do. Is there another way to heat the ducklings? What temp should they be at? Even in the brooder with chicks it rarely gets over 80...
I just aquired 15 Slw chicks and was wondering how easy they are to sex.. THey have similar markings as my wellies which are pretty much auto sexing. Is that the same for Wyandottes??
I have 30 chicks and 2 ducks in my brooder and the 2 ducks destroy it. So I'm trying to figure out where to put ducks. What is cheapest and easiest bedding I can use for the ducklings? And what can I use for feeder and waterer for ducks that would just be laying around my house? I won't be able...
Thanks for your help and I've been gathering materials from pretty much anywhere I can find them. Im in north Georgia so I think they'll be comfortable in our weather. Never real hot and not to much extreme cold weather either
They have a covered 10'x20' run to be in whenever they want and will have open access to coop day and night. Would it be enough room for them I only have a 3'x 8' footprint for the coop to be on but height doesn't matter so I was thinking of making one just a little off the ground and 40" high...
One more question.. Can I have a coop on top of another coop?? Like have one a few inches off the ground and then build another one on top of it? I just have very little floor space to work with...
