    Mama Heating Pad in the Brooder (Picture Heavy) - UPDATE

    I hatched out my 1st batch of chooks on Easter and started using mama heating pad for the 1st time with that batch of 22 babies. I was SO impressed with how much they liked it. Never going back. Great idea to the original poster and Blooie for sharing with us.

    These 2 im gonna call Oops and Whoopsie...they were in the feed store and i felt bad i only kept 2 of my Easter babies so i got these 2 silver lace Wyandotte to go with my backyard mix chicks...because chicken math says i couldn't get just one of course. Lol.

    Puffed up air filled chest in a chick

    Hello all. Ihave a bantam cochin baby who is about 4 or 5 weeks old and i just noticed a couple days ago her chest is super puffed up and filled with air (like a tiny balloon) the spot is off to the side a bit so i dont think its her crop. The spot is also mostly bald...They have been drinking...

    Are bantams super chill? I got 4 this weekend and they are always asleep when i look at them and they have been eating and drinking but not as much as i expect... Their peeps are so tiny too. I assume its just because they areso small?
