    Hello everybody! I purchased 8 chicks from my local feed store about 6 weeks ago. What I asked for were 2 Houdans, 3 Light Brahmas, and 3 Black Australorps. I've already concluded that the Light Brahmas are, in fact, Buff Brahmas. However, now that the black ones are older they do not seem right...

    Love how you came up with their names! I do name mine too. I named Hilda and Sweetpea, my daughter named Queen, Princess, Mystery, and Faith, and my husband named Xena and Zelda. There was absolutely no rhyme or reason to the names, however their personalities do match!

    I still love mine as well. They are beautiful and sweet. Besides, getting blue AND green eggs is even more awesome!

    Thank you! Thank you! LOL, so true! I need to correct myself. They are not Ameraucanas, they are Easter Eggers. I just found out and only say it out of habit.
