Chick got stuck to incubator floor!

Thank you :-) I think you're right- although I hatched in my Brinsea 20 so it's pretty reliable... only problem was they pipped a day early (internally) so I had to hurry them into lockdown... hadn't brought my trusty j-cloths into school otherwise the floor would have been less prone to...

Chick got stuck to incubator floor!

I totally agree, however I had limited resources and as other eggs had pipped I couldn't keep the incubator open long enough or I'd have risked them all. The bleeding was slight & not much at all, more of a shimmer than drops. I'm more confused as to how it happened. He was so stuck that his...

    Blue? Black? Splash?!

Wow that's really interesting! They may have come from my white hen (who's masking a partridge gene) but dad is def black, not extended though. Totally wasn't expecting whites! Really pleased as we lost our white hen but a bit bummed... If they were blue we were looking into mating for splash...

    Blue? Black? Splash?!

Thanks for replying :-) Black male (not BB as he has a red tinge to his mane) and either a partridge hen or lavender.

    Blue? Black? Splash?!

I'm so proud of them- we thought we'd get all black so to end up with such gorgeous colours..! A couple had problems- one pipped the wrong end but I got her out eventually... Cutest batch of chicks I've ever hatched!

    Blue? Black? Splash?!

Hi guys! I just hatched out my latest chicks (silkies). 3x are clearly partridge... But some look like this On first glance when still wet I assumed they too were partridge. However they have dark grey feet, blonde head & vent and the rest is tan coloured with the odd splatter of black...
