She was dead and pretty torn up.
I don't know that I have been leaving eggs - I haven't been able to find any eggs - ever except for the first few days.
I'll check my coop again. Sigh.
I have two hens that were born in March, so they're about 6-7 months old. They were laying when we got them. Each of them laid about twice for me.
But then they stopped. I've checked the coup. There aren't any places anything could be getting in to eat eggs. The chickens have food and water...
I have one that always lays eggs that have that. Another one does occasionally. I think they're just calcium deposits. They certainly don't seem to hurt anything.
We really don't have a set-up that allows that right now. Our coop is too small to install them inside, and we're not set up to do them outside. Maybe we'll have to work on that next...
1. ONE egg from 7 chickens over 2 days.
Of course, they laid more than that, but since I didn't get out there yesterday, they destroyed and ate them all. BAD chickens.
