    "they" say you're not supposed to do that because of blackhead disease. But, I've known many people to raise chickens and turkeys together and have had no problems.

    To add to that, my Brahma hens seem to have lower, coarser, quieter voices than the rest of the hens. More like a duck than a chicken. If it held true with roosters, I can't imagine them making really good full on crow.

    Anybody have a chart anywhere showing standard heavy breed chicken growth rates? It's been a while since I last had chickens, and I was just curious how much larger my chicks are going to get. They're 8-9 week old Orpingtons, Wyandottes, Jersey Giants, and Brahmas.
