    Is it illegal to sell Cayugas?

    Update: I checked with NC Ag Dept, and the American Livestock Breeds Conservatory (which they are listed as "endangered" on)...everyone agreed that it's perfectly legal to sell Cayugas. Having all the lit'l ones sexed this weekend & will post an ad. Thanks ya'll!

    So, I'm wondering if there is anyway to find out if it's illegal to sell Cayugas? I have 18 ducklings that I incubated, ready to go at 6 weeks...and checked in with my local feed store. The owner said he had 3 adult Cayugas for sale & someone told him he was breaking the law by selling them...

    How soon can I put ducklings in the outside pen? Right now they are in the house under a heat lamp, and I'm managing the mess ok, but they are running out of water (with 2 of the bottle types) in between I leave for work at 6:30am & return for lunch at noon. Same in the afternoon & overnight...

    Just wanted to update eyeryone, here is a video of day 24 (last night), when I checked I was super surprised by the egg sac enlargment, chirping, and internal pipping as well as cracks in egg shell! We went into immediate lockdown after I filmed. I had 24 out of 30 with movement 2 nights ago...

    Thanks Amiga, Utah, and everyone. These females had no interest whatsoever in sitting...so I borrowed an incubator. I couldn't eat the eggs after letting them get to 30 in the nest, so it was worth a shot. I wanted to give ya'll an update on my new "duck adventure". lol Hopefully this link...
