My chicks are about 14-15 weeks old. They have been losing a ton of feathers. Mainly around their tails. There are feathers everywhere! I've been giving them meal worms along with a good feed. Is this a molting thing, that is normal? Do they molt when they are this young?

Is there anything I need to do for the wounded chicks? The worst one has been pecked all down it's back.

23 chicks, probably about 3-4 wks old. The farm store was no help with age. They're getting big. I just got off the phone with dh and told him I think the brooder is getting to small. Some of them have gotten absolutely huge in the past week. Those seem to be the peckers.

New to BYC! I'm happy I found you guys! Bought our first chicks last Saturday, we are all very excited! FarmMom99 NW Ohio area

We would like to purchase some guinea keets but I'm not keen on having them shipped. Does anyone know where I could find or where I should look? I really only want 2-3. I live in Northwest Ohio.
